Hubs - Rims - Skewers » Rim Tape

Rim tape is vital on any wheel build. Without Rim Tape sharp edges and spoke nipples will frequently puncture your tubes. Either that or the tube will be under too much stress over the nipple hole in the rim and puncture that way. Rim tape is even more vital with tubless or UST systems. Without it there is no way to get an air tight seal.
