Cycle locks are a vital bit of kit if you don't want to see your bike go missing for ever. Bike theft is at an all time high at the moment with bikes quite often being stolen to order. It is the new "trend" for bike thieves to hang around trail centres etc and then follow cars home when there is a nice new bike on the roof. No matter how well you hide the bike away at home the thieves now know it is in there ready to take. This is why a cycle lock is a great investment, even if you don't intend to take your cycle lock out with you to lock your bike while you are out and about. It is also worth noting that some insurance companies will not insure your bike, even in the house, if it is not locked with a certified Cycle Lock.
