Paul Burwell of MBR Magazine recently tested the DFender and had a great deal to say about it in the latest July issue of MBR.
Designed and prototyped over the past two years, the single-piece DFender mudguard
is built and packaged in the UK. There’s even a Union Jack sticker version.
At 160g it’s heavier than using a flap of inner tube or Neoprene between your fork crown and brace, and the multi-piece brace clamp needs a bit of care with fitting. The broad tail stops direct spray from the back of the wheel as well as spray thrown forwards and up into your face very effectively, though.
We’ve had no breakage or loosening issues on the several sets we’ve been riding through the winter.
