Stif Morf Steel Hardtail Bike XT Build – Sub Yellow
Designed from the ground up, the Morf steel hardtail offers a riding experience like no other hardtail before it. Designed with a steeper seat tube angle for a more efficient pedalling position, the Morf climbs superbly up any terrain, which combined with the ovalised seatstays and top tube for more compliance, make this a fantastic bike for all day riding in the mountains.
Based around a 35mm stem, the Morf has a long top tube for increased stability and room in the cockpit making it easier to adjust weight the front or rear for better grip and composure. Short chainstays and a 65 degree head angle finish off the superb geometry, which combined with Ed Black anti rust protection make this hardcore hardtail ideal for anything from long days out in the mountains to enduro racing in any condition.
Designed in partnership with legendary frame designer Brant Richards

I’ve had the bike for nearly three weeks and I have to say it’s been
utterly brilliant. I’ve ridden it at trail centres, some “wilderness
“rides and also a few night time blasts after work. It climbs well and
seems to fly around tight switchbacks that I often found a struggle on
my full suspension bike, I’m sure some is incompetence on my part but
it does seem to forgive my technique! When it comes to descending the
short back end and slack front end gives plenty of confidence to pick
lines that I never use to on my Cove Stiffee. It is also very easy to
live with on longer rides out into the Dales as, although a hard tail,
my arse doesn’t take the pounding that it did on an aluminium frame.
I’ve always taken all the advertising and geometry tinkering that is
associated with bikes and new fads with a massive pinch of salt but I’m really enjoying this bike.
I have seen on some of the threads on singletrackworld a bit of
negativity but as usual it seems that few, if any, have seen one in
the flesh let alone ridden one. I’m sure they all know more than me
but I feel the frame looks great and the spec was an excellent deal
that clearly had a lot of thought put into it. Interestingly I have
been stopped on the trail and in the carparks with people quizzing me
about the bike and the feedback has been universally positive. I am
currently enjoying the exclusivity of owning a Morf, but I hope that
you do sell many more as I think in my humble opinion that it is a cracker.
